All cruise/tours are aboard our custom-built 70' double deck
power catamaran the Spirit of Kona. Seating capacity is 150. Check-in
is 20 minutes prior to tour departure time.
The
cruise departs from the pier in the heart of Kailua-Kona at
2:45 Monday through Saturday from December 15th to April 1st
Light
snacks are provided,
Food,
Drinks, Beer, Wine, Cocktails and Souvenirs are available
for purchase.
Naturalist
provides narration describing the behavior or the Humpback
Whales, some of the local marine life and historic sites we
may pass along the Kona coast.
Hydrophone
to listen to the whales and dolphins sing and communicate
with each other.
The
opportunity to view dolphins, manta rays, turtles, and a variety
of tropical fish and other marine life through our two large
glass bottom wells.
Full

Humpback
Whales winter in Hawaii from December through April. The Hawaiian
Islands host the largest seasonal population of Humpback Whale
activity in the world. The only location in the United States
where a population of whales come yearly to mate and give birth
to their young. Your Big Island activities could begin with a
whale watching tours including live narration from our on board
naturalist who will enlighten you on the many species of marine
life that inhabit the Kona waters. Spinner Dolphins, Bottle Noise
Dolphins, pilot Whales, sea turtles, mantas and more frequent
these waters year round. During your whale watch tour, hear the
songs of these great mammals as they are piped through the sound
system from our underwater hydrophone. Photo graphic opportunities
abound. Free return trip if no marine mammal sightings.
