Directions to Your Big Island Boat Cruise Adventure

Blue Sea Cruises operates from the Kailua Pier. The vessels will pull up to the pier to park for boarding.  Please check in right next to the boat. There will be a podium with Blue Sea Cruises Inc sign on it.

The pier can be located at the intersection of Palani Road and Ali'i Drive. You may enter this intersection in your GPS or use or use Kaahumanu Place in your GPS setting to find the pier. The King Kamehameha Hotel Marriott Courtyard is also located near the pier..

These times are approximated travel times and can vary do to weather conditions, road hazards, time of day or other unforeseen circumstances.  Please allow for delays due to holiday events that host parades and other events such as Ironman Triathalon, Liliokalani Canoe race which cause road closures or detours.

If you are staying at a resort/hotel in Kohala, Waikoloa  or Hualalai north of Kona, take Highway 19 south as if you were heading to the Kona airport. Once you pass through the traffic light for the airport begin to count the traffic lights for your next turn. The 7th light past the airport light will be Palani Road. Turn right onto Palani Road. (you will be heading towards the ocean). The Kailua Pier is at the bottom of Palani Road (approximately 4 blocks down). You can not park on the pier. Turn left at the second traffic light Kuakini Highway. One block down on your right hand side will be a public parking lot. There will be a green sign marked "Public Parking". Park in the lot and then walk to the pier which will be at the bottom of Palani Road. Walk out onto the pier and check in right at the boat.

If you are coming from a resort or hotel south of Kona, take Highway 11 north to Palani Road. Turn left onto Palani Road. (you will be heading towards the ocean). The Kailua Pier is at the bottom of Palani Road (approximately 4 blocks down). You can not park on the pier. Turn left at the second traffic light Kuakini Highway. One block down on your right hand side will be a public parking lot. There will be a green sign marked "Public Parking". Park in the lot and then walk to the pier which will be at the bottom of Palani Road. Walk out onto the pier and check in right at the boat.

You may find additional parking in the area along the streets near the pier for a fee. The King Kamehameha Courtyard Marriott also has parking available for a hourly fee. We have no association with the hotel so no validation can be made for parking through Blue Sea Cruises Inc.
